PM Modi's Dive into Dwarka's Depths Sparks Speculation on Janmabhoomi Restoration Focus
Gujarat, Dwarka - February 27, 2024
In a momentous event on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi immersed himself in the divine waters off Gujarat's Dwarka, donning scuba gear to explore the submerged city and offering prayers at the Dwarkadhish Temple.
Pictures of the Prime Minister's underwater venture and his homage to Lord Krishna flooded social media, sparking widespread admiration. Netizens praised Modi for his devotion and applauded his government's commitment to revitalizing Hindu pilgrimage sites.
Sharing his profound experience, PM Modi expressed, "To pray in the city of Dwarka, immersed in the waters, was a very divine experience. I felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur and timeless devotion. May Bhagwan Shri Krishna bless us all."
Dwarka, steeped in Hindu significance as the legendary city ruled by Lord Krishna, is believed to have been swallowed by the sea after his departure from Earth.
PM Modi, describing the deep-dive visit as a long-cherished dream, stated, "I had always been curious to go there and touch the remains of the ancient Dwarka city. I am full of emotions today... A decades-old dream was completed today."
In a revelation from the Modi Archive X handle, it was disclosed that the blueprint for the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple was laid down during a meeting in Vrindavan, where PM Modi, then a BJP Karyakarta, was in attendance.
"In 1991, a meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was held in Vrindavan, attended by Narendra Modi. At that time, he was working as a BJP Karyakarta and had attended the meeting as one of the Sangh representatives," stated the X handle.
This meeting marked a significant moment as the RSS intensified its Ram Janmabhoomi movement in Ayodhya, eventually leading to the construction of a grand Ram Temple at the deity’s birthplace.
As Ayodhya continues to make international headlines, with Lord Ram's devotees crediting PM Modi for resolving a centuries-old issue, there are high hopes among Lord Krishna 'bhakts' for a similar restoration at Krishna Janmabhoomi.
With elections on the horizon, PM Modi's visit to Dwarkadhish temple is seen by many as a strategic move, signaling a potential focus on Krishna Janmabhoomi restoration in his assumed 'third term.'
While some may view this as speculation, the BJP's manifesto and PM Modi's personal attention to temple corridors nationwide suggest that momentum is building towards this restoration agenda.
